"Tessa" Emery

Tessa is a purebred Maremma Sheepdog - a  Livestock Guardian Dog breed that originated in the Abruzzese region of Italy some 2,000 years ago where they were used to guard flocks of sheep in the wide open mountainous areas. Tessa's owners acquired her to guard the Alpacas on their Brookfarm Ranch in Glen Ellen where Coyotes, Mountain Lions are potential predators.
